Beautiful Start to the Day

What's New with Amenities?
We have installed an actual classroom at the southeastern end of the paddock. This is the same type of “portable” we are all used to seeing at schools in our neighborhoods. It needs some sprucing up, decking, ramps and paint, but should be “online” in a few weeks.We also have installed fiber optic communications to our caretakers quarters. We hope to have Wi-Fi throughout the paddock soon. As of now, we have an actual phone at the track! A real phone, that works! Who knows, we may step up and now get an actual mailbox! We don’t mean to really make light of these, they are significant accomplishments. The trench for the fiber was almost a mile long, and the permit for getting the classroom onsite was a task as well.
So, the message is simple. The improvements are coming, and we are working as hard as we can to continue to upgrade the facilities. Stay tuned, but be patient.
This year the road course has more activity than last year. We are gearing up for full days of events and amenities installations. The real trick is getting some sleep in there too. Such a waste of productive time, sleeping is. Yet, we cannot seem to go without it. Go figure.
As always, thank you so much for all of your support, and smiles, it keeps us energized and moving.

A Week of Firsts!
The Ridge Motorsports Park hosted, for the first time ever, the SRT Track Experience.This event was a Corporate level event, featuring SRT products, and all had a blast!! More to come on this, but suffice it to say, we were proud to host the SRT event. The SRT Track Experience has been held for 7 years and all over the country. We are proud to announce that on their final day at The Ridge, Saturday, April 20, 2013, a very happy lady won the autocross competition for the first time!! That is seven years, and 6,000 drivers mind you, and it happened at The Ridge. More on the event, and the very talented driver, to come.
ProFormance Racing School held its first track event ever at The Ridge on April 22, 2013, and their day was a resounding success. We welcome ProFormance Team to The Ridge, and congratulate them on having such a successful day. Within that first day, another first, the fastest lap time ever recorded at The Ridge occurred. Snake Livernash, piloting a Formula Atlantic, clocked a smoking 1:33.7 second lap! These results are not official, as no official timing gear was used, but by the looks of things, that benchmark is going to be hard to beat! Congrats Snake, well driven, and you are a fine young man, and well mannered to boot. We like that in fast guys, talent, and poise. Look forward to seeing you again at The Ridge, and wish you well in your Run Offs pursuit (SCCA National Run Offs Pursuit).

Great Day at The Ridge
Our 4th Weather Warrior event held Saturday, February 9th, 2013 was a great success.The Sun came out early and stayed with us all day. Turn 2 Lapping ran the car event and 2 Fast, LLC ran the motorcycles. We had 45 cars and about 12 bikes and many, many smiles.
Lost Mines Safety provided our safety team and as usual did a fabulous job. Busy Bean Espresso and Las Palmas Taqueria provided sustenance.
Our season begins in less than a month with our first event being Audi Club, March 9th and 10th.

Weather Warrior event number three!!
First event for the year, hope you can make it out for our third Weather Warrior event.Saturday fun begins at 7:30, track goes hot by 9:00. Bring yourself, your ride, and some warm clothes, because it will likely be a bit on the cold side.
Busy Bean will be there for your hot drink needs, and Las Palmas to fill you up at lunch.
And although we have said it before, it bears repeating. Thanks to all of you that came out in 2012, we had a very wonderful time, and hope you did as well. 2013 is shaping up to be even more action packed, so take a look at our events page and pick a day or two to run at The Ridge!!We could not do it without you, from the bottom of our hears, thanks to all.

November 23rd, Weather Warrior Day
Black Friday is a GO!So, as most know, Black Friday is our first Weather Warrior event, and is close to sold out (if not sold out, we have not looked in a few days).
So, here are the quick details. We shall all be at the track no later than 7:30 AM. Registration will occur at the track, so no worries on losing money if we get a rain out. Our goal is simple. Have fun, and camaraderie between two different disciplines (motorcycles and cars). Simple as that.

Talk to your respective discipline leader (Mark for Bikes, Tom for Cars) on tech. We want you to get as much seat time as is conceivable, so get there early, get registered, and get ready to go. 30 minute sessions, alternating between cars and bikes. Your gonna be tired. Help you work off some Thanksgiving eating sins!!
Remember, intermediate and above. Check with your discipline leader if you are not confirmed, because I think their rosters are full.

Weather Warrior Track Day Program
The Ridge Motorsports Park will be conducting all winter long a weather warrior program. What does that mean you say? Simply this. The track lies fallow, and quiet, in the winter months. It does no one any useful service just sitting. However, we know, understand, and embrace the fact that we are here to provide a quality experience, so here is what the weather warrior program is all about.The PNW experiences rain (surprise!) for extended periods, as we all know. However, it is common for us to get a stretch of good weather as well. This is where the weather warrior comes in. We are creating a list of warriors, who have the flexibility to react on a 5 day weather notice. Put differently, when it looks like sun on the horizon, you will get a shotgun blast email, and you will need to respond immediately if you have interest in attending.
The rates will be reduced for participation, and moreover, they will be refunded if we get rained out. We have no intention of making you pay, then having to slog through rain all day. We want you to have fun.
Now then, this program, by its very nature, is only open to intermediate and advanced drivers/riders. The reason for this is not exclusive of novices, not at all. It is more of an efficiency decision. We need participants that require little supervision. We know the participation numbers will likely be small, so we will not be able to allocate man power to a school program.
Our first weather warrior program is on November 3rd, and is actually a Karting day, and potentially a Motorcycle day (Karts on track, then Bikes, then Karts, and so on).
Black Friday, November 23rd, is our second weather warrior day. Again, this is weather dependent, and most events will not be scheduled like the two mentioned here.
Black Friday will be mixed use, motorcycles and cars. Limited entries available. We at The Ridge want to foster a mutually beneficial motorsports community, and we feel it is very important that each user discipline see what the other disciplines see. And discuss it, together. Car guys can give motorcycle guys ride alongs, and Motorcycle guys can do two ups for those car guys brave enough to do it (bring extra leathers and gloves/boots if you can do two ups, car guys will not have that gear). I have had the pleasure of doing a two up with Jason Pridmore, AMA superbike champion, and shortly thereafter, found myself on a motorcycle, riding The Ridge. So, you just never know.
GASS (Great American Stockcar Series) is coming with 5 stock cars, providing ride-alongs to the general public for a fee. Again, weather dependent.
So hit our “info@" email if you have an interest, Black Friday is just about 70% full, so act quickly if you are able. While everyone else shops, we have fun.

Events at The Ridge
The 2012 season was great!Thank you to all of the groups that rented our facility during the 2012 season. We plan to have an equally fantastic 2013. Take a look at our Events calendar for the schedule so far. Some events are still pending confirmation
Though the main season activity has ended for 2012, keep your eyes and ears alert for last minute lapping events we will run when the weather outlook is good.
We are working on a possible November 23rd event! Yep, while your significant other is shopping, come and get some laps in at The Ridge. More information will follow soon.
