Very Busy First Season
The Ridge's new Road Course has had a very busy first season. It has been challenging, rewarding, frustrating, and wonderful. Ours has been no different than any small business start up. There have been many struggles and challenges as well as hundreds of rewards and blessings. We would like to thank all of the smiling faces that have attended events at our new track during this our first season. We still have a couple months left for 2012, and more fun ahead. Usage of the developing facility has included, Television Filming, Pro Rider Workouts, Driving and Racing Schools, Car Club Events, Vintage Car collection workout, Car Factory Shows and more. The Racing has included, Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association, Puget Sound Road Racing Association - Karting, Great American Stock Car Series, Sports Car Club of America NW Region, International Race Drivers Association, 24 Hours of LeMons and soon to come ChumpCar. We have met so many great people from Canada, Oregon, California, Arizona, Florida, Utah, Colorado, Georgia, Texas, Kansas, and even SHELTON, CONNECTICUT
The Ridge Team would like to thank each and every group that has rented our facility. The Riding and Driving schools have been great and we look forward to more great sessions at The Ridge! Without you, it would not be possible. We appreciate your patience as we learn how to be good track hosts. We are not perfect but we are learning. On those days when we have been exhausted and thought we could not go another day, we spend a day at the track with your smiling faces and enthusiasm and it fuels us for the continued climb up the hill that is the development of this facility. We hope everyone has felt welcome. We would like to give a special shout out to our employee Michael Hooton, who we have gotten tons of emails and comments about. Michael thank you for greeting our guests with your smile and welcome, then continuing to ask them "are you having fun"? Thank you so much for representing The Ridge in such a positive way. We want to thank all of the Local Food Vendors that have provided sustenance at our facility during the year. Two vendors have been there for almost every single event. Edie and Dustin with Busy Bean Espresso and Miguel with Taqueria Las Palmas, thank you for your smiling faces even on those not so productive days for you. The other vendors that have come in for our race weekends, Brick House Mobile Pizza, LLC - Coffee A Go Go - J's Pit Stop - Yummies Hot Dogs - Five Alarm BBQ & Hungarian Kitchen. Also to the Local folks that have Catered some of our events, Stevens, Grapevine Catering. Taqueria Las Palmas, Five Alarm BBQ and Brick House Mobile Pizza have catered and vended at the facility. Hope to see you soon, At The Ridge!
