The Ridge MX Spring Series is a two moto format, 7 round motocross racing series using two Sundays per month from March through June, with a practice day for racing held on the Saturday before each race. You can find the dates here “www.ridgemotorsportspark.com.”
The Spring Semi-final Series will be the ramp up series to our Summer Championship Series Sanctioned by AMA. The points from each series have no effect on one another.
AMA Sanctioned, amateur riders can earn their advancement points needed to continue to move up in the classes. However, this series is not eligible for pro points as it is not an AMA Pro-Am event.
Trophies will be given at each round to top placement positions, typically the top 5 riders in each class will earn an award for each round raced. Riders who place in the top 3 OVERALL will receive invitations to the Championship awards banquet at the end of the year where they will receive their grand champion trophy and awards. Riders must compete in 6 out of the seven rounds to be eligible for the championship awards banquet.
Pro Class – $1500 grand prize purse divided amongst top 3 overall. Pro class riders will also receive trophies for each round of competition. Additional purses and awards may appear as we move forward.
Viral Goggles Holeshot awards will be handed out to riders who grab the holeshot in their class so don’t be late off the gate!!
No rider under the legal age of majority as written in section 1.1 A-9 of the 2017 AMA rule book may compete WITHOUT the written consent (signature on liability release AND entry forms) of his or her parent/legal guardians present at the meet. An authorized adult acting on behalf of the parents or legal guardian must provide a NOTARIZED statement indicating they have been given the authority by the legal parent or guardian to be responsible for the minor during the meet. The parent or legal guardian, or authorized acting body must remain present on the property during the full duration of the event.
Scoring is based on the AMA approved Trackside software, and all series points standing after each round are sent to the AMA and are available to view on their web page, as well as Ridgemotorsportspark.com
Currently, we are seeking OEM contingency support for riders from the following manufacturers: KTM, Husqvarna, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda. Our hope is that we will have the support from all of these brands so you can register your bike with them and get paid to race. We will update you as soon as we know who is on board, at which time you will be encouraged to get your bike registered, so you qualify contingencies.
