Chef / Kitchen Manager Full Time Pay: DOE


The Ridge Motorsports Park is looking for a key individual that has the drive and passion to lead the Ridge Café and Catering services for the new Ridge Performance Center. As the facility has expanded, the Ridge is looking for a Kitchen Manager who is able to grow the culinary program. This individual would oversee staffing, all kitchen and catering processes, and work with the team to grow the department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a team focused on customer service and high-end food quality.


The Ridge Kitchen Manager will have an opportunity to lay the foundation for a great environment for staff and guests at the Ridge Motorsports Park while growing their career in a creative and unique environment.


The Ideal Candidate:

·  Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills

·  Has a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance

·  Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills and has a passion for a high level of customer service

·  Has the ability to stay organized and be able to manage a budget

·  Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

·  Has a drive to build a program centered around quality food and a warm environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Demonstrate a keen eye for food presentation and placement for corporate events

·  Demonstrates basic competency in operating kitchen equipment

·  Order all food related items

·  Stock inventory appropriately as needed

·  Ensure consistent quality and delicious food

·  Demonstrate the knowledge of high standards for food preparation, sanitation, and storage

·  Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

·  Maintain neat professional appearance and always observes personal cleanliness rules and sanitation standards

·  Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

·  Inspect cooking equipment, supplies, work areas and ingredients to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards

·  Enforce cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a food safe environment

·  Organize, schedule and supervise shifts

·  Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

·  Demonstrates basic understanding of supervisory and management principles

·  Meet with customers as needed to arrange catering for weddings, banquets and other special occasions.

·  Must be able to supervise and motivate others in a professional manner

·  Three years’ experience as a Manager is preferred, at least two years is required


About the Company: Ridge Motorsports Park is a multi-surface motorsports facility that consists of a 2.47-mile Road Course, Grand Prix Karting Track, Motocross Track, and Drifting/Autocross surfaces. Our facility has tripled our events in the last year going from 149 to over 400 events.
